Nepal – A Journey in Pictures

Nepal has long been considered a haven for photographers; beginning its majestic Himalayan ranges, ranging from the highest peak in the world, Mt. Everest; to its Terai plains, home to its many national reserves set up to protect hundreds of endangered plants, animals and birds. Besides this, Nepal has a rich cultural history with scores of different cultures intermingling and many different religions co-existing in harmony for hundreds of years. For decades, this tiny country has been the destination for photographers from different countries who have sought to capture the bountiful natural beauty and the treasure trove of its cultural diversity.

Stricken by the earthquakes of April and May, 2015, Nepal has struggled to recover its economy. However, the resilience of her people is so that they welcome you with open arms and a friendly demeanor and leave your feelings resonating in the warmth of their hospitality.

Arun Chitrakar  and David McArthur are organising this trip for a maximum 12 people package tour of a total of 14 days to visit some of Nepalese historic, cultural and tourist destinations and photographic attractions that will be a wonderful experience for both first time and repeat visitors to Nepal.

The itinerary for the 14 days’ trip will include visits to famous and historic site in Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Lalitpur inside the historic Kathmandu valley and visit cities like Chitwan, home of Nepal’s largest natural reserves; Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Buddha; Pokhara, a wonderful and exciting tourist destination; Pun Hill, a small village situated on the way to the base camp of Mt. Annapurna and return to Kathmandu for a flight back to Australia the next day.The experience will include some of Nepal’s best sites for photography enthusiasts and professionals.

The schedule is prepared so that the visitors could experience Nepal in the best possible manner and bring back wonderful photographs and most of all, an experience that they cannot forget.
